The Lugt Catalogue (officially: *Les Marques de collections de dessins & d’estampes*) is the international standard reference work for collectors’ marks on drawings and prints. It was founded by the Dutch art historian Frits Lugt and records historical stamps from private collectors, artists and institutions. For art collectors and historians, the catalogue serves as an important tool for provenance research (tracing the history of a work of art).
