The REVUE COMIQUE was founded by BERTALL and LAFITTE. The first issue appeared on October 15, 1871 and the last one on December 17, 1871 (total of 12 numbers). The authors generally wrote their texts for the REVUE COMIQUE under pseudonyms. Illustrations were done by BERTALL, CHAM, GRÉVIN and others. There is only one print from DAUMIER, which appeared in the second edition: DR 3885. It was executed in the LEFMAN system, produced after a drawing by Daumier.
